Cats are generally curious and will investigate any new object. Cats already accustomed to a covered litter tray may be quicker to investigate. We recommend leaving the automatic litter box switched off at first while your cat acclimatizes. Place the automatic litter box in the same place as the old one. You can leave the old litter tray next to the new one for a short time. Take a cup of litter from the old box and add it to the clean litter in the new box. The smell will be familiar and your cat will be inclined to investigate. Once your cat ventures inside and smells the litter under its paws, it'll know what to do.
